considering hes asian maybe about 4 cents
2 :
How is anybody suppose to know what kind of salary a Chinese translator will receive? The salary will depend beside on nationality, on experience, what kind of languages he/she speaks and on the company itself. Salaries are freely negotiable. Anyway - his/her salary will be a low one. You may get an idea by using: www.payscale.com

Jan, I told you before that Hepatitis belongs to the deportable diseases in the UAE. Therefore of course a work permit/residence visa would be denied. Sorry.
2 :
as h says no. the only way u get a work permit is yr employer applying for it with yr residence visa. as u have to take a blood test as part of the process to get the residence visa u will be deported quicker than u can say work permit.
3 :
Sorry, the answer is NO. In UAE the list of blood-borne deportable diseases, includes HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis B & hepatitis C, effective July 1 2008.

4 :
For an employee in the UAE a high school diploma is required as a minimum. To obtain a Labour card for the title of a manager, a bachelor's/college degree is required. Internschooling will not help because these degrees have to be verified in your home country. Take care and all the best.

As for this question, you are sure to get a very late answer. So, better go and ask somebody who is already into the same service industry. He or she will be able to give you a better idea. Being a family driver you are considered being a domestic helper and the following rules apply: An expatriate resident can file an application for a domestic helper's visa at the visa section of the Residency and Naturalisation Department of the Emirate which issued his residence visa. The head of the family (couple with or without children) or a working widow or divorced mother with children, or a widower or divorced father with children can apply for a domestic helper's visa. The sponsor should earn a salary of not less than Dh5,000 with accommodation or Dh6,000. When applying for the domestic helper's visa an expatriate must pay a Dh5,000 refundable deposit which will be returned when the residence visa is stamped on the domestic helper's passport. The sponsor must retain the deposit receipt to obtain a refund. Fees to be paid: When the residence visa is stamped on the domestic helper's passport Dh4,800 must be paid in Interior Ministry fees. Apart from the fee another Dh100 must be paid for the residence visa. - Dh100 for the sponsorship and - Dh100 for a domestic helper's card. When the domestic helper enters the country, you must undergo a health check-up at a government hospital in the emirate where the visa was issued. The cost of the medical check-up is Dh1,200. This should be done before applying for the residence visa. The domestic helper will then be given a health card. You will also be taken for an iris scan and fingerprinting at the police headquarters of the Emirate. The residence visa must be stamped on the domestic helper's passport within 60 days from the date of the person's entry into the country. No one is allowed to employ a domestic helper who is not under his sponsorship. A resident can employ a domestic helper on his own by following the set rules or use the services of a labour recruitment agency which will charge Dh3,500. The annual ministry fees of Dh4,800 and the deposit amount of Dh5,000 is under review and is expected to be reduced. Emiratis who apply for a domestic helper's visa have to pay a Dh1,200 refundable deposit. They do not have to pay the annual Dh4,800 ministry fee. The sponsor needs: An e-form application filled and signed by the sponsor. This will cost Dh100. A copy of the sponsor's passport. copy of the domestic helper's passport. Three passport photos of the helper . An official labour contract (approved and signed by the embassy of the domestic helper) signed by the helper and by the sponsor. Copy of the work contract of the sponsor, with salary certificate. The sponsor can bring a domestic helper from his or her own country, but you need a letter from the embassy or consulate to prove that they are not relatives. Hope, that this answers your question.

Hi, my boyfriend has been offered a job in Dubai this morning and wants us to consider going for a year. Living together without being married is considered illegal also when Dubai turns a blind eye on this. But it just takes a person, preferbly an Emirati to complain, and authorities have to take action. Your bf will not be able to sponsor you. Means - you will have to obtain a tourist visa, extend the same (60 days in total), leave the country for 30 days and re-enter again on a new tourist visa. You won't be able to obtain a drivers license, to open a bank account, medical only emergencies will be covered and you can't get pregnant. Please think twice. Best opportunity is to land a job yourself and be sponsored by a company.

I think Dubai is liberal but I doubt that they are liberal enough to allow unmarried couples to cohabit. They will probably want a marriage certificate before they will give you a visa. You will be able to get a tourist visa for a month or so and renew it once or twice without leaving the country. It;s no big deal to slip across to Doha for a weekend though
2 :
the first thing you gonna hear in Dubai is " ITS MY COUNTRY YOU DAMN FOREIGNER, FUCK OFF OR I WILL KILL YOU IN YOUR BED" hope i was help-full
3 :
You will not be able to get a visa to go with him if you are not his wife. You will have to get married before going if you want to be together. Also it's technically illegal for unmarried couples to live together, though there are many expats who do. But if you were to be reported by any of your neighbours or your building manager you both could face prison time and deportation If couples can be thrown in jail for a single kiss in public

getting a job in dubai is a really good idea, you could get alot of well paying jobs espcially with a degree i live in dubai and there are alot of asians and expacts living there so you wont feel left out and its not hard to work there at all.real estate is a good business to look into there. good luck!!
3 :
The practical way to get the job in Dubai is to pay a visit there first atleast for 2 months and then search for a job using the recruitment companies there. Using the Internet, it is hard for companies to wait and see you coming. When you are physically present at a time for interview or evaluation, it is easy for you to take the opportunity.
4 :
I think you should look for a suitable job on the net, apply for it and good luck. As Asian, you will find lot of Asians working in United Arab Emirates, and you will enjoy your stay here in Dubai. Good luck.
5 :
depends if u r gal than u might get selected in prostitution and if u r gay or guy than u can go for hair cutting saloon coz both of these jobs are in high demand by the crazy people of uae
6 :
Philippines are welcome anyway getting a job is not hard when you think of it as a first job not a life job. call your trusted friends in uae and save money for at least 3 month living in uae, then pack and fly. if your degree is engineering and you're male then mail me . if you're female and your degree is in business mail me.

Singapore have enough safety managers of our own. Keep working in Dubai. Besides, Singapore's laws are tough and you can get jailed for accidents happen under your watch.

His company will sort out his visa, but how easy is it for me to get a visa?I will not need to work Can we live together as an unmarried couple? any advise you can give me for the first stages of considering this thank you :)

Fairies with boots" gave a great answer to this question, but I just want to emphasize the issues you will have with a visa. You will need to make sure you get the right visa, upon entry to the country (visitor's visa vs. tourist visa) and then, as noted in the other answer, you'll need to leave the country for 30 days every 60 days. Countries over here do not encourage people to hang out with out a job (sponsor).

Land a job, get sponsored and you will not have to worry about anything else. But do not commit sexual acts as your not married or in your westernised country, hence woman and men are not as free as they would like to be, i agree with islamic law tbh. Or another alternative, get married quick then come to Dubai. I suppose you both love each other enough to tie the knot. So why not get married! what's stopping you both? Emirati take offence when they see couple's kissing, its very absecure to them, they live the life of muslims not westerners and like to cover up for dignity and respect. I respect all religions and types of people. Please just be carefull and dont do anything silly. I was very astonished reading an article, a Pakistani couple from london were caught and jailed for three months, they got DRUNK!!! AND commited a SIN that was against sharia law. I thought they would of had more sense to be honest. Watch your mouth also as it can lead you into trouble, DO NOT slag of the Islamic tradition as some westrners, do not speak ill of Islam if you don't know the true facts. Thanks and please consider me for best answer, think my answer was better :P Take care and good luck Edit: Right ok who gave me the thumbs down? Own up please, i think someone here is spoiling my chances of getting best answer.

Don't go to Dubai. As a female there you'll always be a second class citizen. Only go there if you have a job. Or have family there.

What nationality are you - this has a bearing on ease of visa renewals for you. Its a great opportunity. Short term a tourist visa isn't a real problem BUT longterm - if you are not getting married - it will be. You really would need to get some sort of job or get married to not have visa hassles. A friend of mine does 20 hours a week at the Special Needs Centre - there are plenty of part time reception jobs around... But again - Nationality plays a part. And once you are married then all your husband needs to do is give you a NOL (No Objection Letter) so you are allowed to open your own bank account.. I think even a drivers license requires husbands permission. Ahhh - I love it - too funny. And yes - I am a male. Anyways - best of luck.
