How does the school system work in Dubai?
My 2 siblings and I are going to move to Dubai in a month or two. Here are the ages and grades: 15 yrs old- 10th grade 14 yrs old- 9th grade 10 yrs old- 5th grade Would we still be in the same grade? Does school end in 12th grade? We in live in the United States, right now. THANK YOU!

I am from Dubai, and I know every single information u need. You are most welcome to ask me what ever you want! Well according to the ages the 14 and 15 year old can be in the same class but if one is in 10th and the other is in 9th then they will be in different grades. For the other one that is in 5th grade he/she will obviously be in a different grade. Most high schools end in 12th grade, except some high schools which are british system end 13th grade. May I know which school you are planning to take them ? Hope this has helped you!

I want to work in Dubai. How would I do this. I have no idea what the process is.?
I'm a young Australian and I have just finished my 2 year diploma in Event Management. I have 2 years experience and I really would love to work in Dubai in the comming year. The problem is is that I have no idea how I would start this? Any ideas?

British and Americans work in Dubai:are they not on contracts?
Any westerner working in Dubai of theEmirates are there on contract It is the same in Saudi Arabia.However Muslims working in Christian dominated countries are mostly if not all are not on contracts. Secondly :most of us often hear of how much money philipinos and mexican imigrant workers send to their families back home..America's economy will do even better with out Muslims imigrants.

Generally when an American goes to another country to work they are in some sort of management. In your example I assume you are referring to construction. So your Americans/British are project managers, project superintendents, ect. Generally when immigrants come into America, legal or otherwise, it is for jobs lower down the food chain.

If you think that America can do better with out Muslims, Then my advice to you to run for the White house in the Next election. You are here just trying to get connected with some Arabs to get a Work contract in the UAE. I do not think that they can use such an uneducated Idiot like you down there. I think that is whats pushing you hating Muslims, because you can´t catch up with them Educationally in the USA, because you know that the USA always wants Educated Muslims as emigrants. Am I right ?

Do you even know what you are talking about? Everybody working legaly in the UAE is working on a contract no matter what's his/her nationality or religion. Your comment about Muslims (Muslims only??) working in Christian dominated countries without a contract is just not true. In most countries foreigners need to have proof (contract) of employment to gain residence. Secondly: who is most of us? It's just logical that expats from pour countries send money home to support their families. Not only Philippinas or Mexicans. America's economy will do even better without Muslim imigrants? Sorry to say that this does not make any sense. Since when Philippinas and Mexicans are Muslims? One can blame expats in the US for many things, but not bring down the US economy. What does religion to do with any country's economy anyway?

Most British are well educated about the world unlike "some" as you who still live in a cocoon of mis-information how the world works. First of all you are comparing a religion of a person (which is not a political association or a country) to people from your country in reference their nationality to what kind of labor law is applied in a country you don't know any thing about, other than its main religion being "Muslim" ; these are not even apples and oranges apart, its more than that. Its completely illogical to think that way. As for the mexicans it is not true what you say , as more money from mexico comes into US economy than what US residents send to Mexico.. .. which are petty wages to feed their families basically.

Can I work as a waitress in Dubai if I am 16?
I would like to have a waitress job to earn some extra money, but I am not sure if a 16 year old is allowed to work in Dubai. Does any one know? If you do, where can one work? I don't have any experience though.

No I don't think so. Nobody is allowed to employ you if you are under 18 in Dubai. However, if you look around, I am sure you will find someone who doesn't really care how old you are and you could probably get a job. I'm not sure if you could get a waitressing job though.
