check with the embassy or consulate of the respective countries. Most countries are OK as long as you have rabies vaccination & health certificates from vet; some require import permit. Make double sure you have all your t's crossed and legal requirements met, or bad things can happen to your pet!

Apply for jobs that offer a visa, or apply for a visa and go get a job after traveling there. One warning though, Dubai is going down fast, since it only has about 5% of the oil in the U.A.E. where as Abu Dhabi has the other 95%. Try and go to Abu Dhabi to get a job, jobs look to have more longevity there.

....Clone yourself? Seriously, though, my guess is you would first need a passport and a visa to get into the country and then find the US embassy there and look into changing citizenship or getting a job permit.

when you look for a job in your country where do you go to .. job fairs , classifieds , internet, papers, recruitment agencies .. same here . UAE only gives residency no citizenship except by birth or marriage (and that takes years). Even in US if a US citizen goes to another state they need to be living there 3 years before they can apply to become a state resident.

Of course your wife can look for a parttime job. She only needs to obtain a labour card which should be renewed every year. Some companies are ready to employ women husband's sponsorship but some prefer that the woman they employ be sponsored by the company. Women need an approval from the husband if they wish to work. The labour card of a working women sponsored by the husband will be cancelled automatically when the card expires and is not renewed at the Ministry of Labour. Companies will have to reapply every year for a new labour card. The fee for a labour card for a working woman sponsored by her husband is Dh1,200, to be paid in two installments: Dh200 at the time of submitting the application and the remaining Dh1,000 at the time of the ministry approval. The fees have to be paid by e-dirham. The employer should pay the fees. Working women also do not need to give their passport to the employer. She should also keep her labour card with her. But if the woman wants to transfer sponsorship from her father or husband to work in the private sector, she needs approval of the previous sponsor and the new sponsor. She also needs approval from the Ministry of Labour if her work is among the categories that are subject to the Labour Law. She would further need approval of the residency department. Expatriates who have valid residency papers can apply for a visit visa for relatives or friends, but must fulfil certain conditions. According to the Naturalisation and Residency Department (NRD) law, if the sponsored relative is a female, she should not be less than 25 years of age. An expatriate can also sponsor two friends on visit at a time, but the salary requirements are higher - not less than Dh10,000 and Dh2,000 refundable deposit for each person which is returned after the friends leave the country. One should keep the receipt safely and present it for the refund. Take care
