How long is the work ban imposed by the UAE? I had a 2-year work contract in Dubai but resigned after 1 year?
I would like to know where or how I can find out whether the ban is still in force, and when it will expire. Thanks to all who can help me.

Can I get a work permit in Dubai?
Can the person who is + of hepatitis B infection get a working permit in Dubai? The job being offered is, as an Operations Manager in an engineering company. Thanks a lot for your inputs.

Jan, I told you before that Hepatitis belongs to the deportable diseases in the UAE. Therefore of course a work permit/residence visa would be denied. Sorry.

as h says no. the only way u get a work permit is yr employer applying for it with yr residence visa. as u have to take a blood test as part of the process to get the residence visa u will be deported quicker than u can say work permit.

Sorry, the answer is NO. In UAE the list of blood-borne deportable diseases, includes HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis B & hepatitis C, effective July 1 2008.

Do I need a degree to work in Dubai?
Hi I would like to know, if it's possible working in Dubai without a degree. Some friends om mine have a business in Dubai. They offered me a job, but they were told that it's not possible to working without a degree. The job is being a project manager, and my friends want to give me a internschooling. Can you please help me with that problem. I hope for a positive answer! Kind regards Kawtar Al Moussaoui

without a degree usually PM designation visa is not issued so it might be a problem

For an employee in the UAE a high school diploma is required as a minimum. To obtain a Labour card for the title of a manager, a bachelor's/college degree is required. Internschooling will not help because these degrees have to be verified in your home country. Take care and all the best.
