what is an MOH and what exams do I need to work in Dubai

what is an MOH and what exams do I need to work in Dubai?
I have a Danish Bachelor in Nursing Degree and am a registered nurse, do I have to take any additional tests to get work in Dubai? Are there any specific requirements that you know off to come to Dubai and work? Are nurses in demand there, or is it difficult to get a job? Thank you

ministry of health yes u need to pass MOH exams for nurses and get registered to practice here. visit their website and get details
4 :
There are 3 licensing authorities in the UAE 1. GAHS - Genreal Authority of Health Services - For Abu dhabi 2. DHA - Dubai HEalthcare Authority (previously known as DOHMS - Department of Health and Medical Services) 3. MOH - Ministry of HEalth - For all other Emirates (Sharjah, Ajman, UAQ, RAK, Fujeirah) Now, the DHA is the sole regulatory authority for Dubai. For more info http://www.dha.gov.ae/output/page58.asp And yes, Danish degrees are recognized and well paid. Nurses will always be in demand here because the age demographics of this place has changed after the Freehold Property options. Most expats who buy freehold are in their mid 40s to late 60s. They need healthcare more than teenagers. All the best

I just finished teaching HRM to two Dubai Police Officers in a Masters course - there is cultural considerations that you would not be able to met. Also, the men told me that women are not that well ummm 'utilised' in the force. Additionally, Dubai has male police for a reason - five years as a nurse does not demonstrate the ability to get in there and mix it with thugs and thieves - but you could always ask. Also, do yu speak the local language
3 :

Yes - Dubai Police is hiring Emergency Quick Response nurses and paramedics but directly from the Philippines and NEVER from those VISIT VISA holders in Dubai. Don't come to Dubai or the UAE for the purpose of finding job. APPLY there. Mayde you are not aware but almost 6,000 Phillipine nationals are stranded in Kish Island in Iran due to visa expirations and 200 more in Oman for the same case.... all coming as visitors and ended up without a job and stucked in these two places with no Philippine Government assistance... so much for the New Heroes tag !!!!

there is no such thing as transferable visa here. it all depends on the situation , ur service period and ur position if u can transfer ur job or not
2 :
Look online for a suitable job opening, apply, hopefully get shortlisted, interviewed and hired. In this case you'll receive an employment visa and later a residence visa. After staying with your company for at least one year on an unlimited contract, you can think about transferring sponsorship. But - that's a different story. Get a job first and then go from there. Here are the recruitment agencies: http://www.startpagedubai.com/jobs.htm Good luck!

It will be a great change for you.... -Put your resume together in a way that is attractive to employers in the Middle East. -Submit online at jobsites and through recruiters in the region. -Never pay for job promises, ever =>scams -You may also email your resume directly to institutions related to your field (list of wich are found online) -Landing a job is the key, as most reputable employers pay for travel, accomedation, transportation, etc. With four U degrees, I would be the last one to worry about not securing a job in Dubai.....many jobs are awaiting you..... Will A Phone Bought From America Work In Dubai

Will A Phone Bought From America Work In Dubai?
Im thinking of buying a phone I really want but the price they're selling it for here is a rip-off. Say I buy an unlocked version of the phone in America and then bring it to Dubai. Will It Work? I was thinking about buying the HTC Hero or the Droid Incredible.

should work if unlocked and not running on CDMA (so pretty much not verizon)
2 :
I don't think these devices will work for you. First of all, both of them are CDMA-type phones, and they will not work on GSM networks, which is what the rest of the world uses almost exclusively. Also, these devices aren't generally sold unlocked, and there's no guarantee you could get them working in Dubai, even if there was a CDMA network there. Your other option is to look at the two GSM companies in America, T-Mobile and AT&T. Again, the issues with buying a phone directly from them is that their phones are sold SIM locked, so you'd have to pay to get one unlocked. Another option is the Google Nexus One. There are two versions, and you would want the one used on T-Mobile's US network, since the GSM frequencies match the UAE. You can find the Nexus on eBay, and I hear they are selling it in Dubai. You should also be able to get it from Google directly: http://www.google.com/phone The specs on the Nexus are nearly identical to the Incredible (except for the camera resolution), and both the Nexus and the Incredible have double the processing power of the Hero (the comparable GSM phone to the Hero would be the MyTouch 3G from T-Mobile). This site has some posts on getting 3G working with the Nexus in Dubai: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=1dae4b92e748d186&hl=en The Nexus is a really wonderful device. I've had mine since March, and I love it.

Nurses can apply for a job at the Ministry of Health in Abu Dhabi or Dubai and if the application is accepted, the person may work at any of the seven emirates. If the nurse wishes to work only for the Dubai Government, the application should be sent to the Department of Health and Medical Services in Dubai (DOHMS) For details you'll find here: http://www.gulfnews.com/uaessentials/residentsguide/working_life/10127872.html

In Dubai the only government hospital run by MOH is Al Baraha Hospital (formerly Kuwait Hospital), all the rest are DOH. Hi dear, well for ur information ur 30day visa is ur visit visa, which u could extend for another 30 days by paying some gov. fees. U cann't work legally on this visa unless it's an employee visa, but u could search for the job while ur stay here and make interviews.i wish and i am sure u'll get. wish u all the best and nice to hear u r coming here just to c ur gf.
3 :
Look at recruitment agencies online for a suitable job in advance. If you find something and get hired you will enter the UAE on an employment entry instead a visit visa. In this case your future employer will take care of the whole visa procedere and bear all the costs. The only thing you have to do when here is you'll have to take a blood test. That way you will have your residence visa in within 1 - 2 weeks. Below please find recruitment agencies to apply: http://www.nadia-me.com http://www.sos.ae http://www.bayt.com http://www.gulftalent.com http://www.carefor.com http://www.emasco.com http://www.gulfbankers.com/ http://www.recruitmentdot.com/ http://www.jobtrackme.com/ http://www.it-people.com/ http://www.experts.ae/ http://www.clarendonparker.com/ http://www.bacme.com/ http://www.jobsindubai.com http://www.mybetterfuture.com http://uaestaffing.com http://uaedubaijobs.net http://theemiratesnetwork.com http://monster.com http://jobs-me.com http://kershawleonard.com http://charterhouseme.ae http://jobscan.ae http://jobtrackme.com http://hruae.com http://synergy.ae http://naukrigulf.com http://www.gulfnews.com/classifieds Take care and good luck!

If you are looking for jobs in dubai then best place is http://www.naukrigulf.com/ You can contact employers there and enquire...
5 :
The best place to find any job is through someone you know and face to face. If you go on a visit visa you should go knocking on doors, asking your girlfriend and her friends, showing your face in companies and passing out your resume. Headhunters are fine but they usually take time and take your money. If you find a job there you might have to leave until your work visa goes through, otherwise the company hiring you can help you get an extension on your visit visa until your work visa is ready. Make contacts!

Does anyone know what is DOH licence for work in Dubai

Does anyone know what is DOH licence for work in Dubai?
Ok, here is my question: what is DOH licence and how I can get one? I am a dental nurse considering to move to dubai for work and I need DOH licence. Do you have any idea what it may be? Please, also, maybe there are some insiders who work in Dubai? Maybe you could advice me if it is better to search for a job from UK online or go straight there and look for one while staying? Thanks in advance!

DOH = Department of Health For my knowledge: Nurses who want to work in any Emirates have to undergo the test at HAAD (Health Authority of Abu Dhabi). To work only in Dubai nurses have to take the test at DOHMS. But - nurses from english speaking countries like UK, USA, CAD and SA do not have to sit the test. Also not dental assistens. Please be aware that salaries for nurses are very low in the UAE and these jobs are taken mostly by Philippinas.

No health certificates are required for entry to Dubai so her Hep-B diagnosis will cause no problem for her. The procedures for getting a visa to enter the UAE are relatively simple and hassle-free and if all documents are in order, then the visa is issued within 72 hours. Visa requirements for entering Dubai vary greatly between different nationalities and it is always advised to check regulations before travelling. Currently, every nationality entering the UAE needs a visa except citizens of GCC countries (Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia) expatriate residents of the GCC (certain nationalities and professions) and British citizens with the right of abode in the UK. The following citizens of Europe also receive visas on arrival citizens of : Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Vatican. In addition, nationals from Australia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea in Asia, as well as those from the United States of America and Canada also now receive Visas on arrival. For all other nationalities, a visa must be applied for before the visitor enters the country either through their respective embassy, a local UAE sponsor or a local hotel. Visit visa: In case of Personal sponsorship Fees: Dhs 100 Entry permit application form with completed typed data Original Marriage certificate and copy of it, in case of wife sponsorship Salary Certificate; The monthly salary should not be less than Dhs. 4000 in case of wife sponsorship, and Dhs. 6000 in case of first relatives sponsorship. Copy of the Sponsor passport Copy of the Sponsored passport. In case of Establishments sponsorship Fees: Dhs 100 Entry permit application form with completed typed data Establishment card and copy thereof Copy of the Sponsored passport.

British and Americans work in Dubai:are they not on contracts

British and Americans work in Dubai:are they not on contracts?
Any westerner working in Dubai of theEmirates are there on contract It is the same in Saudi Arabia. However Muslims working in Christian dominated countries are mostly if not all are not on contracts. Secondly :most of us often hear of how much money philipinos and mexican imigrant workers send to their families back home..America's economy will do even better with out Muslims imigrants.
United Arab Emirates - 5 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Generally when an American goes to another country to work they are in some sort of management. In your example I assume you are referring to construction. So your Americans/British are project managers, project superintendents, ect. Generally when immigrants come into America, legal or otherwise, it is for jobs lower down the food chain.
2 :
I can see between your words that you a Muslim hater. Ok then why are you in here? If you think that America can do better with out Muslims, Then my advice to you to run for the White house in the Next election. You are here just trying to get connected with some Arabs to get a Work contract in the UAE. I do not think that they can use such an uneducated Idiot like you down there. I think that is whats pushing you hating Muslims, because you can´t catch up with them Educationally in the USA, because you know that the USA always wants Educated Muslims as emigrants. Am I right ?
3 :
Do you even know what you are talking about? Everybody working legaly in the UAE is working on a contract no matter what's his/her nationality or religion. Your comment about Muslims (Muslims only??) working in Christian dominated countries without a contract is just not true. In most countries foreigners need to have proof (contract) of employment to gain residence. Secondly: who is most of us? It's just logical that expats from pour countries send money home to support their families. Not only Philippinas or Mexicans. America's economy will do even better without Muslim imigrants? Sorry to say that this does not make any sense. Since when Philippinas and Mexicans are Muslims? One can blame expats in the US for many things, but not bring down the US economy. What does religion to do with any country's economy anyway?
4 :
Hey , don't shove British people into your illogical economic formula. Most British are well educated about the world unlike "some" as you who still live in a cocoon of mis-information how the world works. First of all you are comparing a religion of a person (which is not a political association or a country) to people from your country in reference their nationality to what kind of labor law is applied in a country you don't know any thing about, other than its main religion being "Muslim" ; these are not even apples and oranges apart, its more than that. Its completely illogical to think that way. As for the mexicans it is not true what you say , as more money from mexico comes into US economy than what US residents send to Mexico.. .. which are petty wages to feed their families basically.
5 :
Victor, you are absolutely lost in your British/American ignorance. I'd like to invite you to Dubai, so you see the reality of this country. I'm not trying to say that its paradise (because its not), but the things you are pointing at are what you've got from your filtered media (and furthermore messed up with your naive mind). Wake up and see the actual fact. I feel sorry for your country, if there are more of you there !

How much does it cost to live and work in Dubai

How much does it cost to live and work in Dubai?
I've lived in Bahrain, before and I've lived in Canada for over a Decade. How is the Quality of Life in Dubai and Healthcare, Employment and Affordability? You can Give an Approximate Estimate in any Currency. If Dubai is too expensive then please list other places that are great to live in.

Healthcare is free. If you get a good job, you'll save more money than you do in Canada. You don't have to pay tax. The cost of living is more expensive in Dubai but the salaries are even higher, so that's what I mean. Of course you cannot afford to live there if you don't have a stable job. Quality of life? This is very subjective. What do you define quality of life? If you like nature, the four seasons, lakes, rivers, parks, the ability to talk to people on the street - STAY IN CANADA. If you like glitzy urban stuff, boutique perfumes, glossy supermarkets, etc, go to Dubai.

From Canada, you can save money by no taxes. If you have a good job offer, make certain it includes housing and transportation. Other wise you cannot afford to live here!
4 :
Dubai is very expensive city at moment at least you need 3000 dollars monthly to live there ( 0 safe )
5 :
Since You Have Already Stayed In Bahrain, I Presume You Know How The Lifestyle In GCC Countries Is Like, Dubai Is Just A Little More Expenisive Than Bahrain, when it comes to grocery shopping etc. but when it comes to Accomidation, the rents here are 4 - 5 times more than what you pay in bahrain. for ex: if the rent of a decent 3 bedroom apt in Umm Al Naar is BD 6000, than the rent here is nothing less than AED 140,000 for a 3 bedroom apt. People have more activities to do here, than in Bahrain, therefore, they spend more. Healthcare appears to be resonable, only if you have medical insurance.
6 :
If you are a bachelor and planning for a bachelor accommodation and life style, the minimum expenses in Dubai would be approximately US$3000 p.m.

A person who has been treated &reported negative for Hepatitus C,can he work in dubai?
my husband was diagnosed Hep C 4 years back and he was treated and dianosed negative after the treatment. Now we are planning to shift to dubai. his virus count is very low HCV 22.... and also the virus is inactive would he be able to work in dubai or deported? waiting for an earliest answer. Regards

Maybe he could work in Malaysia instead
2 :
Yeah, he'd be deported to awesometown. Then he'd leave you and date Pam Anderson.
3 :
Not legally, no. If he can get past the stringent screening procedure, he can work, but if it is ever discovered that he concealed his status, he will be fined and deported, and his employer could face fines as well. One never fully recovers from hepatitis C; it is an incurable disease.
4 :
Your husband can work in dibai with out question asked about his sickness
5 :
Yes. there is no reason why he could not work, If he has showed up negative and has that report from his doctor he should be fine.
6 :
Anyone with HCV can work where they want. HCV is bloodborne. It is not a communicable disease- it is only spread through cross contamination of blood. Doctors, nurses, aides, chemical workers, food service workers....basically anyone can work where ever. There may be some companies who choose not to hire those with HCV, but truthfully they are breaking the law. As long as the HCV doesn't keep one from doing their job, work away! Good luck!

Yeah u can work in the malls and stores but u wont have a high postition obviously since ur too small and u dont have a diploma and a degree so dont expect to much but its a good idea to start now and once u get to that position u will have higher salary and position. Well ur dream is so good that u will want to take care of ur parents! You should do that for sure. why do u wanna make a business in UK stay in dubai its the best place in the world ! It has everythingu ever want. hope it helps good luck with that
2 :
Working age in the UAE is 18 years. Minimum requirement for an employee is a high school doploma. Best chances to make good money is to be a professional in a field which is needed in the UAE. Engineers, teachers and the medical field, etc.Being a specialist in one of these professions and having experience means good chances to make good money in the UAE. Therefore we are talking about around 10 - 15 years from now. Who knows what's the situation then. Decide then regarding your profession and personal life if you still want to migrate. Dubai isn't the only place where you can become a successful men. The same is possible in the UK also:) May all your dreams come true.
3 :
We both share the same dream, i want to look after my parents to and send them to Hajj, i may go with them. Its not all about becoming a successful business man, its about being happy in life, remember what the al mighty has ordained on you, will happen. I hope things go to plan We men/woman sometimes forget the al mighty God as he is the gate keeper the supreme, but remeber as we make plans God is also making plans. The al mighty is the master of plans, which is mentioned in the holy books. You dont need to work in Dubai, this all can happen in the UK, your young with bright ideas, but when you are old enough you will make all the right choices. If God wants this for you, everything will fall into place like a jigsaw. All God asks us to make is the right intention, if so we will be successfull with his grace. When you are successful remember God, as he will always remember you.

It shoould be stated in your contract that you will have to pay back the VISA expenses. If so stated, check with your Human Resources Manager and ask for proof of payment of Visa Fees to the Government before you pay the amount asked by him/her.
2 :
the visa fees are around dhs 300. you might get a ban in you passport. it will be fort 6 months (you can have that waived for dhs 500) or for 1 year and can not enter the uae during this time.
3 :
you should pay for the expences of the visa fee, insurance and what related, you have to check with them when you signe the contract good luck work there is very nice, you are lucky

There is just so much of inequality even if you lead a complete expat lifestyle away from the locals you are still under the same laws. Not worth the money!

How do you get a work visa in Dubai? Is it easy

How do you get a work visa in Dubai? Is it easy?
I am a recent graduate who may want to move to Dubai to work. I am interested in being an economist/policy analyst or work in urban development projects. However someone told me I have to be already a professional to work in Dubai. Can I still come to Dubai as a recent graduate? How can I do this?
Immigration - 1 Answers

Of course you can - as long as you can find a company which will employ you and provide an employment permit. However the recruitment market is rather dull at the moment especially in urban planning/ development as many of the projects are delayed by a year or more. Dubai is not exactly an inexpensive place to live in, so do your homework well before landing here.

I would like to move to Dubai to live and work as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant

I would like to move to Dubai to live and work as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant?
I have almost 20 years experience as an Executive Assistant and it is my dream to live and work in Dubai. I have been doing a lot of research on the area, and I am determined to make this happen! I am getting a lot of good positive support from my family (my parents and my son, who is age 27), they are encouraging me to do this and I believe it would be a wonderful experience. How do I begin? Should I use a headhunter? I have heard that accommodations are very expensive but some companies offer accommodations as part of their compensation package? Are there any laws I should be aware of, for hiring American citizens as opposed to nationals for administrative positions?

whatever you do be prepared for the emotional challenges of living abroad especially a place where the culture is very different than the US. i have spent a fair amount of time overseas and have female friends who have worked in the middle east. it is not for most people since it is harder than most people think to make a life (not just a vacation) outside the US. if you do go, make sure you have a good support system and plenty of financial resources to rely upon to get home when needed. good luck.

Yes you can. You will need to carry your old passport as well as your new one. Just because a passport expires does not mean that any valid visas, work permits and similar documents expire with it. I still carry my 1981 expired passport as it contains a valid for life work permit for Iran. Ian M
2 :
Bring the old (canceled) passport with you , and show it along with the new one to the immigration person. But if I were you , to play it safe, better call the UAE embassy in your country and ask if the new passport needs to be re-stamped with the visa or is it satisfactory to just bring the old one along with it so that you can have it done properly after you enter the country. In case it needs a new stamp you can avoid the hassle and take care of it before leaving for UAE. And if it does not you will have a peace of mind. I think with everything computerized they probably can update your file with the new passport number on the fly. You can also go to www.dnrd.ae and ask Dubai immigration directly.(you have to sign up on the website )

the only way to get a work permit in dubai is to get a job there. when u have been accepted for a job the immigration department will issue yr sponsor (employer) an entry visa for u to enter the country, once u are there they will take yr passport and other required info to the ministry of labour and immigration and a residence visa will be stamped in yr passport and a labour card (work permit) issued this card is kept by the employer. hope this helps.
2 :
You can not do it yourself... Some of the compamny In UAE has to appoint you and sponsor you for the job
3 :
1. search for a suitable job online 2. get hired 3. receive your employment visa to enter Dubai 4. company will apply for work permit on your behalf 5. company will apply for residence visa on your behalf. Please note, that it is illegal for recruitment agencies to charge job seekers. All costs (recruitment agency, your ticket, visa and labor related costs have to be on the employer). Below plese find recruitere and some other usefull tips: http://www.dubaifaqs.com/jobs-in-dubai.php http://www.startpagedubai.com/jobs.htm A Zimbabwean has the same chances as everybody else. But - you have to be aware that in the UAE the salaries are paid regarding the Nationalities. Therefore please do not be surprised that you may be paid less than and American or Brit. Good luck!
4 :
I think h has been very comprehensive; but I just want to note that people are being laid off right now in Dubai; so don't expect that it would be easy to find a job. It's darn hard.

In case you fulfill certain requirements (education, profession, etc) you can play the green card lottery. http://www.usafis.org/ Please note, that there isn't any cheap way to relocate in the USA. Different than in the UAE, visa costs, medical exam and travel costs have to come out your own pocket. (Assuming that you are not a high professional getting hired aboard) You also will have to show proof of sufficient funds to support yourself by showing bank statements. Medical requirements for green card applicants: https://www.usimmigrationsupport.org/medicalexam.html Depending in which State you apply for a green card, it can take up to 3 years to get one. More infos about how to apply for an US visa: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permanent_residence_(United_States) Visit the US Consulate and get infos first hand. Your chances you obtain a greed card will more or less depend on your profession unless you win one in the a.m. lottery. Btw: did you check the American unemployment rate lately?

Is it possible for a foreigner to live and work in Dubai

Is it possible for a foreigner to live and work in Dubai?
How hard is it for a foreigner to find work in Dubai? How expensive are apartments and how difficult would it be for a foreigner to get one? How hard is it to obtain a permanent residency? If there are any foreigners here who have lived or are currently living in Dubai, what is living there like? Would you say it is a positive or negative experience? Would you dissuade or encourage the decision to live there?

Why not ? Salary depends on your nationality and qualification. So do some ground work first. Contact agents, see job sites, register with some, force apply. - See what offers u get and what is the market trend. Best of Luck
2 :
You do not state your nationality or skill, but the general answer is that there is no bar to you working in Dubai. But be careful, there is a severe recession and if you were to take an apartment lease, then lose your job and get into debt, you can be jailed. Research ex-pats living in Dubai on Google...
3 :
Yes, of course it's possible for foreigners to find work in Dubai or the UAE in general. How hard/difficult it will be, depends on your qualification, the field you want to work in and your salary expectations. First of all your Nationality matters. Going by the way you write, I assume you are a Westener (?). In this case you should have a degree (high school diploma mandatory for employees) and experience (mostly required) in your field. If so, prepare a professional cv and send the same off to recruitment agencies. http://www.startpagedubai.com/jobs.htm http://www.dubaifaqs.com/jobs-in-dubai.php Hiring procedure, visa, etc is all explained in the giving links. In case you become an UAE resident, you will not receive any permant visa, the residence visa is valid for 3 years and renewable for another 3 years and so on. If you are an American, you also can check out American companies working in the UAE, where background checks are mandatory and where no other nationalities are hired. I. e. Raytheon, Dyn Corp etc. Living in the UAE is just great as long as you were able to negotiate an attractive tax free salary package which there is mostly: basic salary + housing + transportation. As a western bachelor you may need a basic salary of around AED 15+ in case your accommodation is provided. If a decision to go and live/work aboard anywhere will be a positive or negative experience - that can't be answered. For some kind of jobs it is for sure an advantage to provide experience working in a foreign country in a cv. In case you feel confident to fulfill the requirements of a good paid job offer and you are a open minded person who won't have any problems respecting an Islamic culture and can bear heat and traffic jams - go for it. The UAE still has a demand on engineers, teachers, MDs and nurses. Workers and most PC specialists, accountants and sales personal is hired from India, Pakistan, Philippines, etc. Good luck!

Every 3 months, 4 cheques should be given to the owner for one year.
2 :
Normally it is 3 or 4 cheques - which means that you dont actually have to hand over the full amount all at once but you do have to make sure that there is enough cash in the bank to cover the cheques when they become due - as bouncing a cheque in the UAE is an offence. Good luck
3 :
I pay cash, every month, it is easier to keep an eye on. Some apartment landlords, really prefer cash. Just ask. basically there is no law, which says how rents should be payed, its up to agreement. Mostly rents are payed by dated cheques splitted in 4 per annum.

I'd guess you'd probably earn more in Singapore. How much you save will depend on lifestyle and what you get with your employment package e.g. if employer pays for accommodation you can save much more money. Dubai can be very cheap or very expensive. Singapore the same but for different items.

After getting employment visa to work in Dubai, Is it necessary to join duty immediately in the company

After getting employment visa to work in Dubai, Is it necessary to join duty immediately in the company?
I am M.Sankaralingam, living in Tamilnadu, India and recently I have been selected as Site-Engineer (Electrical) in AL Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Co.LLC, Dubai for 4500 dirham. I am 37 years old with 17 years Indian experience in electrical field and I am very new to abroad. I don't know about visa processing & work permit etc. Now I am waiting for visa. I think it will take 1 month time.
United Arab Emirates - 3 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
As far as I understand it you will have a binding contract that says that you must work for the AL Shirawi company. If you do not start working at the date when the company wants you to start working you will be classified as an absconder and you will be blacklisted and banned from entering UAE. But it the company says it's ok for you to start working at some time later, say 2 months, after you have got your visa and work permit then the government and other authorities will not have a problem with that. It's just like you have 2 months unpaid vacation before you start working. But you really should check with the PRO or HR department of your company. They will tell you the rules and regulations. (Just for my own curiosity, is your salary of DHS 4500 with or without company sponsored accommodation?)
2 :
joining is something depends on employer, when they want. You need to respect that, because they are hiring as they need resource now, else they would have started when they required. No company want to hire people to make sit on bench. You can request for some more resonable time which needs to agree by your HR or manager. Since you are 37yr old, i doubt u are married with kids. 4500AED without accomodation will give you 0 AED savings. Also with accomodation, should be bachelor, you could be able to save 50% of your monthly salary. Think 100 times before taking this step.. and do remember, keep your passport with you once ur residence visa is done.

There are no requirements for "emergency" leave as such kind of leave doesn't exist. If your leave will get approved or not will depend on your employer only. All the best for your niece.
2 :
See, there is nothing called emergency leave requirements. To get an immediate leave, you should be able to convince your GM (or the deciding authority). Emergency means which is not planned, so we can't have guidelines for that.. good luck with your niece's problem..
3 :
Definitely in order to get your request granted, is the medical examination certificate of your niece and your request submitted to your boss. These days, employers are very skeptic when it comes to emergency leave, because people run away....Its just up to your boss, and your company. All the best!

Dubai is adhering to secular laws too. There are Muslims without headscarves too.
2 :
Dubai is not a theocracy and they do not adhere to Muslim laws.
3 :
not all Muslims countries practise muslim law, all depends on culture
4 :
That's where you're wrong. Majority of Dubai is no longer just Arabics but there are many tourists that come and visit. If United Arab Emirates was ruled under Islamic law, then it would be another Iran. The things is though, Dubai is turning more into a place for rich people to come and visit. It even has a powerful economy. U.A.E is just a prime example that not all muslim countries are bad. Maybe people need to stop being so stereotypical on this issue and they would see that Dubai is one of the best places to come and visit on vacation.
5 :
Dubai has a very large number of foreigners working there and their law is tolerant of other people's beliefs and practices. While the natives are expected to adhere to local Islamic dress codes, they're not required to by law, and Western dress is becoming common. People from other countries adhere to their own dress codes and no fuss is made as long as it's not actually indecent. I'd guess that the water park is mostly frequented by tourists - tourism and sports are a major part of their economy.

You would also need your birth certificate and academic transcript of records both authenticated by the Dept of Foreign Affairs and Office of the President. Most countries have assigned the authentication to the Dept of Foreign Affairs so you need to check this out with your local government. Upon reaching Dubai, the best way to get a job aside from referrals is to advertise yourself in their local newspaper and companies will call you in for an interview.

You can get complete info about documents needed for the job in dubai from this website http://www.dubaiguru.org/
